Music

I closed my eyes as i welcomed the music into my ears. It was new; like nothing i have ever heard before. Each unique sound combined to make one full piece. I opened my eyes to see kids, of all shapes and sizes, but more importantly, the instruments they were holding. All shining in the florescent light, with distinct characteristics and a different sound. As they took a bow, i anxiously walked over and signed "Samantha West" right below "Sign up here". That was the start of a new journey. I had just joined the "Newport Band".
Ever since i was a young child, music has always surrounded me. From me in my little rose wallpapered room, trying so hard to learn the lyrics to every eminem song possible, to six long years of rocking at the clarinet. I was so happy the day i received my clarinet. "This, is for you." The former band teacher whispered as she passed it to me. It may have had a puke colored case, but that didn't matter. What's inside is what matters. I practiced and practiced and eventually went to states twice. While my two best friends happen to be librarians and read like crazy, i read music. I'll always remember that one rainy day on stage, after long months of practice, when we listened as the judge criticized our every mistake and then said "Congratulations, you have received PLATINUM." Everyone went wild and danced with joy. But the days have changed since then and i want to learn something new, something different, something awesome. Such as the guitar. It's sound is indescribable. and hopefully one day, ill have a "two girl band" with one certain best friend. :)

Warning: Contains very lame writing.
There once was a girl. Just a simple girl, filled with youth, laughter, strength and kindness. She cares most about nature, music, and having fun. This girl loves to take adventures and explore the simple things. This girl is me. And i'm not any different then your normal teenage girl. I'm the most random and strangest person ever. And, honestly, i don't care if people like it or not. Life is an experience and not a job. Many people try to follow the crowd; i say, diverge. Take a less traveled path and don't be afraid to be different. So, go out and compliment random strangers, dance in the rain, and have a little fun. :)

P.S.
I'm sure my writing will get better and more interesting as i move on.
